Welcome to Marlborough Bible Baptist Church, Blenheim, New Zealand

The Blenheim Bible Institute (BBI) is a three year, university level, full time (or part time) study course which aims to prepare men and ladies going into the Christian ministry. Operated under the authority of the Marlborough Bible Baptist Church, we charge no tuition fees in order to help students focus their attention on studying the Bible (book and paperwork fees apply). Graduates receive a Diploma in Biblical Studies* as well as the experience received through practical ministry and the studying of God's Word.

Course Requirements

Full-time Students

Full-time students will be required :

1. To give evidence and testimony to the fact that they are a born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ;
2. To become members of the Marlborough Bible Baptist Church or give ample evidence of being in good standing in a sister church of like faith and practice;
3. To faithfully attend all of the regular services of the Marlborough Bible Baptist Church while they are a student;
4. To complete all of their Christian service requirements - we consider this to be the practical training that compliments the classroom instruction;
5. To use the King James Bible in all of their courses and evangelism work; and
6. To conduct themselves in a Christian manner that honours the Lord Jesus Christ.

Part Time Students

Those wishing to study in the BBI on a casual basis (less than a full academic load in any given term) will be allowed to do so, as long as they agree to meet the conditions set forth for full time students. Any exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Sorry, we do not have a correspondence option at this moment; however, if you are a NZ resident, you may wish to look into the New Zealand Correspondence School of the Bible. The NZCSB is written by our President and Pastor, Dr Jeff Williams and all full time students study through it in three years as their Bible Class.



* Please note: we are not government accredited, neither are we NZQA approved (nor do we have any desire to be!). What this means is, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the acceptance of your qualification in any institution, whether it be in New Zealand or abroad. However, we take great pains to ensure our students receive the best training for ministry possible. BBI is three years of intense training for Christian ministry in NZ and abroad. We are, after all, trying to please the Lord and further his Kingdom and so we can assure you we will do our best provide the best training in ministry that New Zealand has to offer.
